“For the past ten years, Rob See has been our ‘go to guy’ in negotiating contracts with landlords to provide telecommunications services to tenants in Dallas, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston and San Francisco. Because of his unique insight and knowledge of our business, we don’t have to spend a lot of time going over details. He knows what needs to be done and he turns things around in a timely manner.”
James T. (Jimmy) Chiles, President

“During my years as head of the real estate department for Republic National Bank of Dallas (later First Republic Bank Dallas, N.A), I sought out Rob’s counsel frequently because I could count on his good advice on business as well as legal issues. At the time, we were among the largest construction lenders in the country and Rob was managing partner of the firm that handled all our work. Rob was always attentive and helpful whether our concerns were in Dallas or elsewhere in the country.”

“Rob See is what I call a ‘solutions’ lawyer. Because of his long experience and thorough knowledge of the real estate business, he can cut through complicated transactions and resolve complex issues in a short period of time. I often refer my clients to him because I know they’ll be treated with the utmost integrity and receive Rob’s personal attention.”

“Rob See represented the landlord some years ago in connection with our law firm’s lease of office space in a downtown Dallas office tower. I found him very responsive, thorough and easy to work with – in addition to being knowledgeable and a good draftsperson. He readily agreed to make reasonable revisions and even as to issues which we knew would require significant landlord concessions, he was willing to acknowledge our legitimate needs and to fairly present matters which were important to us for consideration by the landlord. That’s not always the case. Some landlord representatives are considerably more difficult to deal with - at times almost seeming to resent a prospective tenant’s requests, especially those that require material revisions of a standardized lease form. Rob was just the opposite. While he was clear as to what could and could not be done, he willingly worked with us with respect to the gray areas as well and often took the lead in crafting compromise language.
I was so pleased with our interaction with Rob and the confidence in him that was developed in the process that we’ve referred several real estate matters to him, either to work with us as co-counsel on the real estate aspects or to have him handle the real estate issues entirely while we focus on other aspects of the deal. He’s been a great resource and become a good friend.”

“As we began to plan to move our corporate headquarters from Vermont to Dallas, we were referred to Rob See. We started with one location but changed to our current 60,000 square foot site after Rob began asking us questions about our business objectives. He helped us realize that our original site would not meet our needs for office space, parts warehouse and a demonstration area. We sell and service a wide range of printing presses, so I work with attorneys on multi-million dollar transactions frequently. Rob is a practical negotiator, very professional and courteous, which one would expect, and worked nights and weekends to hammer out the details so we could meet our schedule. I felt we were in very, very good hands.”

I got acquainted with Rob who was opposing counsel for Bank of America Plaza in Dallas as I was negotiating a very difficult lease for a law firm. I was impressed with his skills and experience so when we needed local counsel for a multi-state transaction that involved several Texas properties, I went back to Rob. We had a very tight deadline over the Christmas holidays that we were able to meet. Most recently, he’s helped us to restructure the financing for the same transaction.
My client is a large private equity fund so we handle complicated, multi-state transactions frequently. We usually choose mid-sized firms that specialize in real estate transactions in the various states. Rob is one of the best local counsels we’ve found.
