Robert F. See, Jr. & Associates, P.C. consists of Rob See and other former members of the Real Estate & Finance Department of Locke Liddell & Sapp (formerly Locke Purnell Rain Harrell). The lawyers who work with Rob are experienced practitioners with up to 30 years of practice. Our practice is concentrated in commercial real estate, finance and telecom transactions.

This unique configuration of experienced lawyers enables us to handle the same kind of large, sophisticated transactions in which we were often engaged at one of this region's largest law firms as well as smaller commercial matters, all in a cost effective and very personalized manner.


ROBERT F. SEE, JR.

ROB SEE earned his BA degree with honors in the Plan II program of the University of Texas at Austin and his JD degree with honors at the University of Texas School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review.

He began his legal career in 1966 with Locke, Purnell, Boren, Laney & Neely, one of Dallas' oldest and largest law firms. As a member of the firm's Management Committee, he was one of the principal architects of the merger of the firm in 1987 with another Dallas firm to form Locke Purnell Rain Harrell.

He served as President of Locke Purnell Rain Harrell from 1989 to 1996. In 2001 he resigned his partnership in the firm, then known by its present name of Locke Liddell & Sapp with over 400 attorneys, to form Robert F. See, Jr. & Associates, P.C.

Since early in his career, Rob's practice has been concentrated in real estate and finance, and in recent years, also in the telecom area.

He has lectured on topics in these areas at legal seminars such as the Mortgage Lending Institute sponsored by the University of Texas Law School and the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, the State Bar of Texas' Advanced Real Estate Law Course, the Southwestern Legal Foundation's Real Estate Developer/Builder Symposium, SMU Law School'?s Annual Institute on Commercial Lending and others. He authored the Real Estate Construction Financing chapter of Commercial Finance Guide, Matthew Bender & Co., Inc. (Time Mirror Books) 1990.

Rob served for a number of years as the Chairman of the Board of the Dallas Housing Authority. He has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Dallas Citizens Council, a Director of The Real Estate Council, has held a number of positions in the Greater Dallas and North Dallas Chambers of Commerce, and is a member of the North Texas Global Telecommunications Society. He is an active member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and served for several years as its legal counsel. Recently, he served on a committee appointed by the Mayor that developed a plan for downtown Dallas.

Rob is listed in Naifeh and Smith, The Best lawyers in America in both the Banking and Real Estate categories. He has been listed in that publication every year since its inception in 1983.
