Robert F. See, Jr. brings more than 40 years of experience to commercial real estate, construction, finance, and telecommunications transactions. He has been listed in Naifeh & Smith’s The Best Lawyers in America© since the publication’s inception 25 years ago. He is listed in both the Real Estate Law and Banking Law practice areas.

Mr. See began his law career at Locke, Purnell, Boren, Laney and Neely, one of Dallas’ oldest and largest firms (now the international firm Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell). While a member of the firm’s management committee, Mr. See played a major role in merging the firm with Rain, Harrell, Emory, Young & Doke to form Locke Purnell Rain Harrell in 1987. While serving as President of the firm from 1989 to 1996, he led the establishment of offices in Austin and New Orleans and added expertise in environmental and intellectual property law. In 2001, he resigned his partnership to form Robert F. See, Jr., & Associates, P.C., which includes several of his former Locke colleagues who assist on an as-needed basis.

Along with the other firm attorneys, Mr. See handles a wide range of legal matters in the principal areas of commercial real estate, finance, and telecommunications transactions. His firm has cultivated a loyal client base through word of mouth and referrals from lawyers with whom Mr. See and his associates have worked.

Over the years, Mr. See has lectured on commercial real estate and banking issues in seminars including the Mortgage Lending Institute sponsored by the University of Texas Law School and the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, the State Bar of Texas’ Advanced Real Estate Law Course, the Southwestern Legal Foundation’s Real Estate Developer/Builder Symposium, the SMU Law School’s Annual Institute of Commercial Lending, and others. He authored the Real Estate Construction Financing chapter of Commercial Finance Guide, published by Matthew Bender & Co., Inc. (Times Mirror Books) in 1990.

Mr. See was appointed by several Mayors of Dallas to the Board of the Dallas Housing Authority on which he served for 11 years, six as its Chairman. He has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Dallas Citizens Council, a Director of the Real Estate Council, and has held a number of positions in the Dallas Regional and North Dallas Chambers of Commerce. He also served for several years on a committee appointed by the Dallas Mayor to recommend a development plan for downtown Dallas.

Currently, he is a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas. He served as the organization’s legal counsel for several years. He is also a member of the North Texas Global Telecommunications Society and serves on the Advisory Board for the Center for Brain Health. He is a Vice Chancellor and Lay Eucharistic Minister for Saint Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church.

Mr. See earned both his J.D. degree and his B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin. During his law school days, he was an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review.

Mr. See is also the owner, operator, and one of the ranch hands of an East Texas ranch on which he maintains a herd of Brahman-Hereford cross beef cattle, and he likes working cattle and fishing.

If you’ve read this far, go ahead and hire him. His college bound son would sure appreciate it.
